SF State Spring Clean Up

Tuesday, May 31, 2016 to Tuesday, June 7, 2016
Campus Wide

Does your office have any unwanted office items? If so be sure to participate in this year’s SF State Spring Clean Up for faculty and staff! It will be going on from Tuesday, May 31st to Tuesday, June 7th. This event will focus on large bulky items, electronic waste, hazardous waste, and universal waste. Most of the work will be covered, you just need to place your order between May 31st and June 7th. Actual pickups will be done through out the summer. Be sure to enter “Spring Clean-Up” in the description field of the service request.

Oversized objects such as furniture can be brought out to the dumpsters out side Hensill Hall (see blue stars on the map). For any item that is too large to take to the dumpster submit a work order for a free pick up at http://sfstatefacilities.sfsu.edu .

There will be free electronic waste drop offs at the Fine Arts Loading Dock (see red star on map) on June 1st from 12pm to 2pm and June 7th from 10am to 12pm. Please bring old and/or non working electronics.

If you have hazardous materials and universal waste please submit a work order for free pick up at http://sfstatefacilities.sfsu.edu. It is highly encouraged that individuals get rid of any chemicals that are no longer being used. Examples of this include old/expires/unknown chemicals, chemical containers that are damaged or near empty, refrigerators (as they contain Freon), and other specialty items such as batteries or lamps. Once the work order is submitted, Marsha Elliott, Environmental Compliance Manager for Environment Health and Safety, will follow up with a pick up time.

For any questions about the SF State Spring Clean UP please contact: Nick Kordesch or Marsha Elliott.
